Don’t remember not doing it 🤷 I played out stories and “fanfiction” with my toys until I learned in 2nd grade I was also allowed to write them down and draw my characters and then I sort of never looked back.
With all this awful news going on i wanna ask this question once again to fellow artists and general creatives. What got YOU into art? what sparked that motivation to start writing? what made you wanna pick up a camera and start taking pics? Like share with us your reasons.

I should clarify that when I say I can’t hold a grudge I mean against people. I have been holding a grudge against Safeway for twenty years.
“AI is clearly sticking around so you have to get used to it” wrong. I don’t have to get used to shit. I am a practiced hater and I can keep this going for decades if I am required to

I have literally more ideas than I will be able to complete in my lifetime. My problem is not lack of ideas, my problem is lack of infrastructure to make writing a viable career. AI is definitely not helping that problem by sucking up resources and flooding the zone with garbage.
It’s always just so funny to me that AI using “writers“ often defend it with but how else are you meant to come up with ideas?? Like that’s what tells you that you weren’t really meant to be a writer, you have none.
