I did the Ground Grind for the first time in 14 years this morning and it wasn’t horrible. And it was fun to see the Grizzly bears at the top, clearly the fan favourite.

I love the summer heat in Vancouver, but I'll also gladly take a cool overcast July day after days of heat wave temperatures.

So, I'm volunteering at the Salmon Festival tomorrow. 75,000 are expected to show up! Will I see you there?

You know those B.C. municipalities where the mayor and council investigate and sue each other in a neverending cycle of dysfunction while locals wait for a general election that could take years?

The province says they want to put an end to that.

The ongoing dysfunction in the City of Kamloops has gotten so bad that the B.C. government is considering major changes to the oversight of feuding city councils across the province.

My heart goes out to all the folks impacted by the Manitoba wildfires. I read that Whiteshell Provincial Park is under evacuation, which was where I spent some time many years ago; a gorgeous summer holiday destination in the Canadian shield. I hope everyone there is safe.
