I used to work for the federal government (NPS) and it regularly took one whole year to hire a single person. From receiving funding to advertising, ranking, background checks - one year. There is no such thing as a mass hiring for the feds. This damage will take decades to fix.

Please share this all over Bluesky. Some voicemail boxes may be full, but if not you can leave a message. Remember to be kind. Not sure what to say? Download the app called 5 Calls. You pick the issues that are important to you, and it provides the script.

It infuriates me that the #nyt frames this as “Musk Shakes Up Washington” instead of “Trump Ends Constitution and Rule of Law”
An autocratic power grab, executed in broad daylight.

If the regime can just dissolve whatever part of the government they don’t like, then the constitution has been suspended, and democratic self-government is over.

Mainlining disjointed bits of information is making us WEAKER and LESS resilient. As a marketer who wants you constantly engaged with my ads or my app, I don't want you to know this. I want you to feel your life is incomplete if you aren't constantly engaged with my content.

Excellent advice for moving forward.
Being a person with deadly, incurable cancer who is nonetheless still alive for an indefinite timeframe gives me an interesting metaphor that helps me deal with things like large-scale corruption in government or commerce.

Bear with me for a second while I try to explain.

I'm surprised by the amount of hostile sentiment on Blue Sky toward AI/Computer Vision

By design BlueSky is a *free* data mining platform bankrolled by VC firms vested in 205 AI companies. They expect a ROI.

What did folks think their BlueSky data was being used for?
