a thing to remember about books being removed from Utah schools is that they also passed a bill that if a book is banned from public schools, they must not only be removed from the shelves, but you're NOT ALLOWED TO REDISTRIBUTE THEM

the books have to be DESTROYED. if it's giving Nazism, well.
With the three latest titles – bestsellers Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire, Nineteen Minutes by @jodipicoult.bsky.social and The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky – Utah has banned 22 books from all public schools. pen.org/utah-no-read...
Utah Adds Three Titles to Statewide ‘No Read’ List as Authors and Students Sue Over Censorship
"We can’t allow censorship to take root under laws with vague prohibitions against topics deemed unacceptable by an extremist movement."

"DON'T LET THEM INVOKE THE INSURRECTION ACT"

Oh the act where they can have soldiers and checkpoints and arrest and shoot people with little to no cause?

Explain how that's different than what they've been doing for a year now. Stop fucking pretending this is a Political Dance and get real.

This is why I posted the video when I did. Sorry there's not more warning on the post, but I was in the streets. Multiple media sources had the video for a while, and the right-wing propaganda machine was already sending their lies out. I saw it with my own eyes.

Reading comics counts as reading. Reading graphic novels counts as reading. Reading fan fiction counts as reading. Listening to audio books counts as reading. Reading a 10k word Tumblr treatise on Star Trek/Dr Who parallels counts as reading.

Congress must immediately act to impeach & imprison Donald Trump.

And if they fail to do so, the rest of the world should punish the USA just as heavily as was done to Russia for attacking Ukraine.

We should not get to kidnap heads of state & "run" sovereign countries like vassals.
JUST IN: Trump says the U.S. will “run” Venezuela for now, until a “proper transition” can take place

This right here! The "War on Terror" was idolized when I was in school as a heroic effort, something I even admittedly fell for it for a long time. Support those that fall victim and join but do everything you can to inform them before they can consider signing up!
from someone who was in school for the beginning of the "war on terror," please. please please please. talk to teenagers in your life about not joining the us military. about not letting themselves be groomed by recruiters in schools. they're going to want soldiers, and they always start young.

It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.

It’s about oil and regime change.

And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.

Bombing another country and kidnapping its leader would also be wrong with Congressional approval. The outrage, and call for impeachment, should be over the evil and illegal outcome not merely the failure to follow the prescribed process.

You should be embarrassed to be a member of congress and issuing anything other than impeachment resolutions. You're in the model UN. They should give you legos and a propeller hat

They're going to *throw out* one-of-a-kind NASA archives?!

Not even a year since the Inauguration & we're already at the 2nd-time-as-farce version of the burning of the Library of Alexandria.

The early Magic School Bus PC games! They were the first games that were mine, and I've gotten so much enjoyment out of them. Explores the Solar System has one of the best platformer minigames I've ever played, it's pixel-perfect skill requirement still challenging all these years later.
What title comes to mind for Microsoft Home? For me, it's Microsoft Flight Simulator.
