Today we report that an engineered skin bacterium, swabbed gently on the head of a mouse, can unleash a potent antibody response against a pathogen. Could lead to topical vaccines that are applied in a cream. @djenetbousbaine.bsky.social led the charge... @natureportfolio.bsky.social 1/55

Soluble Notch agonist have the potential to bypass the need for feeder cell lines in the generation of therapeutic T cells and ILCs. Huge potential and can’t wait to try it out (if it’s available to researchers)!

A naturally occurring fungal symbiont that is missing in some lab mice maybe be contributing to inter-facility variation in type-2 immunity.

The power of spatial information! ILC2s specifically in the middle of the colon express microbiota-induced genes that are important for the structural adaptation of this part of the gut. Loads of spatial data across different states (homeostasis vs inflammation) for the community.

#immunosky Obsessed with our robotic arm loading plates to our Sony ID7000 spectral analyser to dramatically increase our flow throughput. This cytometer literally never blocks so we have complete trust in the whole system to run samples overnight whilst we sleep 😴

#MicroscopyMonday is very much alive here and I'm loving it! My take for this week is Neuroinflammation! Under a microscope literally looks like the brain is on fire! 🔥🔬 Instead of gently touching the neurons, microglia changes shape, gets activated and start attacking them. How do we control this?
