This has always been the GOP's strategy:

1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves.

2) Explode the deficit.

3) Demand cuts to vital programs that help millions.

4) Repeat.

Don't let them get away with it.

The Times has to issue a correction here. An Executive order can’t “require” any such thing. Calling it ‘an aggressive push to catch” fraud is bad editorial judgment. The first part is demonstrably false. Those who have any voice to the Times need to demand this. Might as well say pigs fly.
President Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday that will require proof of U.S. citizenship on election forms. The move is in an aggressive push to catch and combat voter fraud, which is exceedingly rare but constantly cited by Trump as a reason he lost the 2020 election.
Trump Signs Executive Order Requiring Proof of Citizenship to Vote in Elections
Administration officials cited cracking down on immigrants illegally on voter rolls as one of the executive order’s main goals, amplifying Mr. Trump’s grievances about electoral integrity.

The externalities of cars scale with weight, size and speed: space taken, gas burned, tire particulates, noise, pavement, cost to consumer and, above all, crash force, injuries and fatalities.

Shrinking cars would accomplish most of the goals of EVs with many ancillary benefits, like fewer deaths.

Some context: After the 2020 presidential election, Trump & others relied on a version of the independent state legislature theory, falsely claiming legislatures had so much power they could even overturn the results of the popular vote.

Now Trump wants the federal government to control elections.
This executive order is a blatant attempt to have the federal government run elections, abrogating the power of Congress and the states.

It’s also peppered with conspiracy theories - including references to the supposed benefits of hand counting paper ballots.

Right! And if you do have the means but don't want to, and that makes you feel bad, deal with it internally. Don't take it out on people who are trying to survive a genocide. No one is watching you. You can share, give a kind word, or keep scrolling. You don't need to spend time being an ass.
When I can’t give money to mutual aid because I don’t have money, I don’t, & all you have to do is pass it on by instead of putting up the pretense you’re getting scammed. We all in America know what getting scammed looks like & only rarely is it a needy person asking for support so cut the shit.
