it’s very frustrating seeing outlets who didn’t care about migrants in open air detention reporting on things like cecot now. They had the ability to cover stuff before, they chose not to. I’m glad they’re doing it now but i hope some folks there realize the role they played in getting here

Ngl it’s troubling the way that many liberals and Dems are willing to espouse blatant ableism when it’s against people like Greg Abbott. Your disabled friends see this and we feel less safe around you because of it. Fuck Abbott, obv, but maybe focus less on his disability and more on his policies

there’s this very american idea that everything we do to fight facism must be “productive” and “results-driven” in order for it to be meaningful as if the act of calling out injustice is not worthwhile on its own.
