I don't think I ever saw any marketing for it. I remember seeing a couple journos responding to a press release with complete disinterest and disdain, but otherwise I didn't even know it came out.

There is really no pedagogical explanation for this activity. Why not have the student draw an image themselves? I really hate how tech has been added unnecessarily to so many aspects of education - with no real consideration of its value.

Three important facts about this: 1) LAUSD’s own policy states that students under 13 are not allowed to use gen AI tools, and yet they have enabled access on student devices, 2) If you ask which AI tools are being used and how they’re vetted, they won’t tell you, and 3) Parents can’t opt out.
