Reading a book called 'Liberty, Equality, and Fashion' about the changes to women's fashion during the French Revolution, and when it started in what is now Haiti I knew I'd picked the right book. If you're interested in the period at all give it a read!

Basically, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are my litmus test for the least ninja a fictional ninja can be before I feel mislead if you describe them as a ninja. If your ninjas are less ninja than the Ninja Turtles, promoting your media on the basis that it has ninjas in it is false advertising.

Last night's biggest surprise was Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, led by Casey Hudson, who directed KOTOR (and Anthem). Exciting news for lots of people... but Lucasfilm says the studio was founded this year, which means that 2030 is an *optimistic* guess. Maybe it'll be a PlayStation 7 game

Definitely expecting some huge western games tonight, the new Larian, a new Remedy, a new Tomb Raider...
But no clue what to expect from japanese games especially Square Enix, so I'm going in with zero expectation and anything would be a surprise, can't be disappointed.

There's not a lot about Arthur Conan Doyle to respect, but I do have to give him props for refusing ever to elaborate on the Giant Rat of Sumatra. He may not have been able to keep Sherlock Holmes dead, but he said the world was not ready for the story of that case, and he kept his word.
