Clovers! Very proud of finishing this one. Based on some super cute photos of a friend's cat that just fit this painting idea I had perfectly.
Can you find any four-leaf ones? 🍀 #art

A rare photo from recent years of me both standing (leaning!) and dressed. It took over a year to gather enough scraps of energy to create the dress from old pairs of jeans. In the years since I’ve mostly lived in PJs but I’ll wear it again.

These are the two pieces from Studio Art Quilt Associates' exhibition "Color in Context: Red" that the American Quilter's Society censored from the show. In response, SAQA's board, at the urging of many members, pulled the entire exhibition from all AQS 2025 shows. (Continued in comments)

@archive.org has been crucial in the effort to save science.

In my 2022 paper I used the Wayback Machine, a free service, to track medical recommendations in the early pandemic. But I just realized I’ve never donated to them. I just did, and so should you.

4 hrs, Seestar S50 🔭

The bright star is AE Aurigae, a runaway variable star that is ~30,000 times more luminous than the Sun. 2Myr ago it was ejected from a multibody encounter and flung on its current path. Now it’s passing through and lighting up this gas cloud 🧪

Omg just got an email that 2 of the 3 paintings that I submitted to The Art of Planetary Science show won awards! I won 2nd place in fine art and 3rd place for the themed category (Mars). Haven’t won an award for my art since I was a kid in 4-H 🥹
