This was always where the troop deployments were going. Their plan was always to occupy cities with Democratic majorities to scare ppl away from voting. This is ONE TOOL they’re using to stay in power.

Yeah, let’s run an experiment that re-traumatizes children to make an AI that won’t ever be able to detect trauma in children. If that’s not the AI industry’s motto, I don’t know what is??

Also, how does something like this even pass IRB?

The line from Skrmetti to this sham of a workshop” on gender affirming care is the demand for perfection (which doesn’t exist in science) for trans care studies while applying zero standards to anti-trans “studies”. They also literally weaponize a trans kid’s death to stoke anti-trans hate.
Hi all—I'll be periodically live-posting today's FTC event on GAC's supposed "deceptive trade practices."

Trump's anti-trans agenda is getting creative—cracking down on (or at least intimidating) GAC providers w/ misapplied consumer protection laws. The event will be...interesting.

For the right wing judiciary, “[t]he only logical consistency that matters is that the trans person loses.” @joshablock.bsky.social is exactly right.
1. Shockingly bad decision out from the Eleventh Circuit today saying that a transgender woman has no 1A right as a public school teacher to identify herself as "Ms." or use she/her pronouns.

With the obvi caveat that class actions are not always practical, have been restricted, and will inevitable leave ppl out, everyone should do this immediately. Luckily, smart lawyers knew what was coming and were ready. This is how it’s done.
Wow was that fast--an immigrant advocate group already filed an amended complaint seeking class action relief in its birthright citizenship case in federal court in Maryland
