1/4 Can’t afford land, but want to grow food, and a community?

Many of us dream of a patch of land to grow food for ourselves and for our community.

But for most of us, it’s a pipe dream. At a time when it’s almost impossible to even buy somewhere to live, stretching for land is out of reach

They're not going to let any journalists into Gaza until the whole thing's emptied out and they've hidden all the evidence of their holocaust, and then they'll call you an antisemitic conspiracy theorist if you say it happened.

🚨BREAKING: 300+ NIH employees call out the harm of censorship & politicized science in scathing email to Bhattacharya, demanding an end to political interference, a lift on funding freezes, & rehiring of fired staff whose work saves lives.

This is historic - insiders are blowing the whistle.

Senate:Kill Regime's bill that erodes Judicial Authority, guts Medicare/Medicaid
Text SIGN PQQFHG to 50409 — This budget reconciliation bill poses a grave threat to the well-being of American families and the foundations of our democracy. The provisions limiting federal judges' ability to hold the previous administration accountable are an egregious attack on the rule of law and checks and balances that underpin our system of government. Allowing the Trump regime to evade consequences would set a dangerous precedent of impunity for lawless behavior by those in power.   Furthermore, the draconian cuts to vital programs like Medicaid, Medicare (by triggering PAYGO), SNAP, and student aid will inflict immense hardship on millions of vulnerable Americans, including children, the elderly, and those already struggling to make ends meet. Depriving people of access to healthcare, food assistance, and education is not only cruel but will have devastating long- term consequences for individuals, families, and communities across the nation.   I urge you to resolutely oppose this destructive legislation that prioritizes tax breaks for the ultra- wealthy over the basic needs of ordinary citizens. Voters will not forget those who enabled such a callous disregard for the welfare of the people they are sworn to serve. The integrity of our democratic institutions and the well-being of our nation hang in the balance.   USE EVERY MEANS AT YOUR DISPOSAL TO BLOCK THIS UNCONSCIONABLE BILL FROM BECOMING LAW. THIS IS A FIVE-ALARM FIRE.

It’s no secret the political project of WNY’s wealthiest execs is hostile to our class. Politicians need to know we SEE their collaboration & DEMAND different. 👀⛅️

We’re a volunteer effort of class-conscious WNYers who have researched & organized against BNP. 🧵☕️ Read on:

I saw footage of the organizer who will be deported to China for pro-Palestine activism at UCLA & it really drove home how people reduce anti-genocide action to being about a single issue when it's really objection to a confluence of an entire network of issues that all end in mass death & brutality

They absolutely got away with it. They are likely to continue to get away with such things for a while.

But here’s the thing: I’d rather be unsuccessfully decent than successfully evil.

Trying to move my IG followers from the most unfiltered account over here. This final dark night of 2024, I’m working at shop chores, like most days, year round. This year hasn’t been great. Think I want to get a cockroach tattooed on my back because I survived.

The very people who are so eager to condemn any and all violence are somehow also eager to pass an $820 billion military budget.

How exactly does that work again?

I would like to underline Sheryl's last point here. Her story is frustrating, upsetting, and horrifically common. And generally? Laws are not setting behaviors of companies. They see them as the cost of doing business - occasionally they get caught, pay a fine. Cheaper than following the law.
But wait! You say. The Affordable Care Act says that's illegal!

Yes I know. They did it anyway. So of course I appealed and we won, but again, I AM A LAWYER.

Something you need to learn about laws: they don't prevent illegal acts. They just (sometimes) punish the people who do them.
