Not the first to make this point. But there is a tyrant in charge of another country who is accused of being heavily linked to a paedophile sex ring - and supposed ‘patriots’ in this country are passionately willing him to take down our national broadcaster. Madness.

This is a really good piece on why your favourite websites are so much worse (along with a lot else) www.vox.com/technology/4...
Why every website you used to love is getting worse
The decay of Google, Amazon, and Facebook are part of a larger trend.

The right-wing campaign group that helped topple Roe v Wade in the US is now working to roll back abortion laws in the UK, with the help of Nigel Farage.

Its first step? Trying to create a debate around "free speech"

Some good news.

London is meeting legal limits for toxic NO2 pollution for the first time – almost 200 years earlier than predicted – following the Mayor’s "world leading air pollution policies," City Hall announces.

The Ultra Low Emissions Zone - and similar policies - really do work.

I have bought and installed a new printer. I feel like Zsa Zsa Gabor embarking on her eighth marriage.

Ended up at a hospital A&E early this morning. In the next cubicle a team of medical professionals were trying to save a baby, brought in by ambulance and police. Of the maybe ten people I saw, only two were white British. It made me think: if Farage gets his way, what is going to happen to our NHS?

It is still September and I have just booked my Christmas groceries delivery slot. I don't know whether to be smug or just embarrassed.

I know there's a lot to keep your jaw dropping these days, but how the actual fuckety fuck is Mandelson still in his post?

Keir Starmer says Peter Mandelson "has repeatedly expressed his deep regret for his association with" Jeffrey Epstein.

When asked about Epstein by the Financial Times in February, Mandelson said: "It’s an FT obsession and frankly you can all fuck off. OK?”

Just went to see Naked Gun with two of my kids. The local movie theatre was packed. We laughed from the opening scene till the final credits. Highly recommend.

I might be in an entirely different country (ie. London) but seems that the only thing at boiling point is the heads of the people who keep telling each other the country is at boiling point.

"England is heading for national shortfall of five billion litres of water a day by 2055."

Next time you hear about an explosion of AI usage, think about how wildly environmentally inefficient it is.

The Ballad Of Wallis Island is, imho, an almost perfect film. I laughed and then I cried. Outstanding performances, especially from Tim Key. Do go and see it.
