You know I used to think the bit in the bad Batman movie where they lure all the cops into the sewers and seal them in was unrealistic but I’m coming round
so pretty soon ice will have deployed every officer they have to minneapolis and the thing to do then is cut a huge hole in the ice in a big lake and have bugs bunny dress up like a lady and stand behind talking all "help help rescue me from all the foreigners!"

It’s 20 miles to the next town and the hobbits are on foot. They’re slow as shit with the stride length of 7 year olds and they run under the horse and get away. Historic gag job.

ohhh this is something I keep meaning to write about - think an underrated dynamic in Westminster is that becoming an MP or a peer (usually Tory but clearly sometimes Labour) will push you into a world of people richer than you and some people can resist those siren calls but....not everyone will
I think a lot of well meaning good government types should be thinking closely about Peter Mandelson, and how dangerous it is for a politician to earn enough to give them a taste for yachts, but not enough to afford a yacht of their own.

I think true crime is basically just bad and morally corrosive most of the time, and I appreciate that people tried to do "oh it's about women trying to process living in a violent sexist world" but I actually think that's only a small part of it, true crime is mostly just dehumanising and grim
this inadvertently gets at why I find The Yogurt Shop Murders so much more thoughtful and effective than a typical true-crime doc. Why on earth would you expect a series about the brutal murder of four teenage girls to be “enjoyable”?
