It is probably just as important to spread post-Keynesian truths (e.g. MMT) among liberals as it is in the population at large.

A truly horrible book.
Pretty egregious error from this book: The authors say Swedish deaths fell by 2.3% during the pandemic, proving that the country's lax lockdown strategy worked.

But they misread their source: Mortality is only down if you remove the COVID deaths.

It is abominable that the response to a deliberate campaign of starvation in Gaza has been so muted. @ryanlcooper.com calls it out today, and connects the dots: ethnic cleansing is clearly the future for the West Bank, which the Israeli Knesset this week voted to annex.

This is awesome: Sony has started posting full episodes of THE GONG SHOW its Classic TV Rewind channel. It’s put up four since last week; hopefully more are coming and this is a prelude to the full series landing on FAST or a subscription streamer. youtube.com/playlist?lis...

What on earth is this claim?
Grijalva is the daughter of an ex-CPC chair, was endorsed by AOC and Bernie, and beat the guy who ran as a moderate saying Democrats needed to move away from social issues by 60-14.
Mamdani made no mention of this race, and his biggest endorsers were for the winner.

We’re told the UK is living beyond its means. But who exactly is living beyond them? It’s not the NHS. It’s not people in poverty. It’s the private monopolies and unchecked corporate profits. In this video, I explain why this narrative is wrong.

There's a live on air moment of Fox starting with the projected number was an increase of 95,000 and then had to report that it was actually a loss of 33,000, and then instead of talking about jobs they moved on to something else immediately.

TB absolutely C, Liberals, DPer's, leftists who have not figured out how public finance actually works (via MMT, etc) are part of the problem, part of the reason hysteria about irrelevant things has overtaken large parts of populace put so much wind into the sails of the right.

With this budget, ICE alone would have nearly as large a detention operation as all 50 states' prison systems combined. Bigger budget than the Marine Corps. Police-state levels of spending
If the GOP reconciliation bill passes, ICE gets through FY2029:

- $45 billion for detention, on top of the current annual budget of $3.4 billion
- $14.4 billion for transportation and removal, on top of the current annual budget of $750 million
- $8 billion for hiring/retention
- Billions more.

If you say that America is poised to institutionalize a police state - that the reality of concentration camps and regularized disappearances will become an ongoing facet of life - you'll still receive eye-rolls and clucked tongues. But that is not a possibility of this budget, it is the purpose.
this is the level of funding where all the possibilities for American politics that have been described as hyperbolic over the past decades - the comparisons to Nazi Germany and other nightmares of the 20th century - become logistically possible and politically likely
