Yesterday, Trump defended the Saudi Crown Prince in the Oval Office.

He said he had “nothing” to do with the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

But I reviewed a call while serving on Trump’s NSC that I believe would be of interest to the Khashoggi family and the American people.

Release the transcript.

ChatGPT’s signature writing style is everywhere now, and I hate it. It reminds me of when we tried mixing all the beverages at the soda fountain in middle school. We didn’t actually create the perfect drink, we just made a cloying monstrosity that lost everything good about its constituent parts.

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

Sick to my stomach that the President being mixed up with a horrifying global network of pedophiles is considered a 'voter issue' and not something the whole world needs to know about and people need to be prosecuted for.

Only reason anyone would want people to ignore Epstein is if you're involved
The usual suspects are telling Dems that Epstein won’t win elections, get back to “affordability” and I think my head might explode. www.offmessage.net/p/force-a-re...
Force A Referendum On The Epstein Coverup
It divides Republicans much more than "affordability" or any other economic issue.

"Person on bicycle killed by truck" is a classic headline error, @sfchronicle.com, subtly but certainly omitting the driver as if the truck acted alone (what are you gonna do? 🤷) – "Pickup truck driver kills person riding bike" casts humans in both roles www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/arti...
Cyclist fatally struck in Berkeley by pickup truck, police say
A pickup truck hit and killed a bicyclist, a man in his 60s, at the intersection of Telegraph Avenue and Haste Street in Berkeley on Saturday afternoon, police said.

This may be Trump's perfect social media post. A true work of art. He confirms:

✅He personally directs criminal investigations.
✅He is targeting opponents.
✅Epstein "records" exist and he knows the contents.

Bonus points for connecting it to investigation of his fondness for Putin.👀

I'm not going to post it but SIGH another transit job that shouldn't require a DL requires a DL because agencies are run by people whose default is driving and therefore act completely helpless to figure out other ways to get jobs done, which is what nondrivers have been doing their entire lives.

My favorite Donald Trump fact is that in 2016, there was a leak of a conversation during an Access Hollywood interview where what he said about his treatment of women was so egregious that the interviewer lost his job.

Then Donald Trump went on to be elected president. Twice.

“He started going down side streets. At one point, one of the passengers had to supply directions.”
When a man hijacked a bus in Hamilton, Ontario, on Tuesday, the potentially catastrophic scenario ended happily. It turns out he was a pretty decent bus driver. He made regular stops to pick up passengers, the police reported. At one point someone tried to board with an expired bus pass. No dice.
A Man Took a Bus for a Joyride. Turns Out, He’s Not a Bad Driver.
The incident in Hamilton, Ontario, ended safely with an arrest and no injuries (and all fares paid).

It achieved the driving range of 96km and the maximum speed of 35km/h.
And it looks GORGEOUS.
I love it.

Essentially, Chow told Lurie he supported the mayor's upzoning plan, then turned around and spoke at a rally against it. Then said he still "would take the supervisor position if it were offered." (via SF Standard)

Notably Lurie passed over Albert Chow, the NIMBY hardware store owner who played a major role in the recall (and accused the targeted supe of trying to bring a "different demographic" into Sunset). But precisely how Chow whiffed on the appointment is also hilarious.

I am absolutely fascinated by what's going on in Sunset right now. The supe representing that district got recalled and Lurie replaced him with a former pet shop store owner no one had ever heard of (???) because she asked him to (??????). www.sfchronicle.com/sf/article/o...
Mayor Lurie’s pick for Sunset supervisor ran pet shop that ‘smelled like death,’ new owner says
The woman described Beya Alcaraz as someone who “cannot run a business,” and said the mayor’s office never spoke to her about the new supervisor’s track record as a business owner.
