Camille Claudel (1864-1943) - sculptor. I just started this embroidered portrait. I’m using a lovely wine colored vintage silk floss. Not sure if it is colorfast, so we shall see. If it runs, I will be ok with it. I think I might be oddly disappointed if it doesn’t.

Finished an embroidered portrait of Grace Hudowalski (1906-2004). She co-founded what woukd become the Adirondack Forty-Sixers and was the first woman to officially summit all 46 of the Adirondack High Peaks, #9 over all. East Dix was renamed Grace Peak in her honor in 2014. #embroidery #history

You know, more comic book people should do ALA. It really was incredible. It was so much fun talking to librarians about my books AND my friends' books. Far less frantic than a comic book convention.
