Every part of this is bonkers. The intro is bonkers. The transition to his health is bonkers. The mention that other presidents didn't need cognitive exams is bonkers. The claim that this screening test is somehow hard is bonkers. The idea that criticism of him is treason is bonkers. All of it.

THREAD — Can You Measure How Susceptible You Are to Propaganda? Yes.

People imagine propaganda targets:

• fools
• the uneducated
• the gullible

But research shows something deeply uncomfortable: The most susceptible are often the ones convinced they are immune.

It is worth recalling that on March 16, 2022, approximately 600 civilians who were sheltering from the Russian army were killed there in a Russian airstrike. The word "Children" was written on the square in front of the theater, but this did not stop the attack.

Instead of kissing Trump's feet European leaders should speak out against him. Treating Trump the way they do now is a form of failing appeasement and dishonest to European citizens who might take the bowing and flattering seriously. Better to prepare the public for the ice cold truth, we are alone.

They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.

It's hard to overestimate how wildly the perception of the US has dropped in Europe.

And it's not just the president.

We went from friends & allies to adversaries - and there is zero pushback from anyone in positions of power within the US.

Who seriously believes the US would help defend Europe?

The new US National Security Strategy, in its predictable and characteristic ugliness, is a good occasion for Europe to finally let go of the time-consuming transatlantic crisis management efforts and start focusing on a proper and proactive own strategy instead.
