i hate to be this guy but 'organization engaged in armed struggle against a jewish state wants to commit genocide against jews' is a relevant data point. it shouldnt be the sole data point and it doesnt justify the ongoing occupation (or the ethnic cleansing of gaza) but like its not a trivial thing

this is straightforward to reconcile imo - we dont have slurs for oil rigs or factory farms. i think treating LLMs as things to *de*humanize anthropomorphizes them too much already, which is tech marketing's desire - that's the thing the "friend" ads were looking for people to react with
fascinating that "no, the computer is not alive" and "yes, it's questionable to gleefully say anti-computer phrases modeled after racial slurs" are two thoughts people are struggling to reconcile
