Could this be our "tea party moment," when average people get fed up?
Start your morning with two minutes of the testimony of Samuel Garcia, an average American who drove 3 hours to speak truth to power to the Texas legislature. Let’s decide that we are all Samuel Garcia. Get in their faces and make them listen. Mr. Garcia is a great American.

New college grads can’t find work because AI is replacing entry-level jobs.

Companies aren’t training people anymore. They’re cutting costs with AI bots while student debt keeps rising. Wonder if they realize what the Big Ugly Bill did to student loans.

once again we have lies printed in a headline and no way to ascertain who of the thousand people who works at the NYTimes actually wrote or approved them. Instead the entire institution is discredited.
This is absurd. @nytimes.com needs to find a better way to convey to readers what it knows to be true: These "findings" are not actual "findings" in any sense that most people would understand the word. The casual reader comes away with zero sense of the deep rot of bad faith at play here.

Since Cassidy is saying this publicly, public health advocates can ramp up the pressure. I will call my PA senators & tell them they should support Cassidy in saying the panel must be fully staffed by people with direct relevant expertise in vaccines, epidemiology and immunology “as required by law”
“Cassidy’s comments — including that the panel’s upcoming meeting be canceled until it is “fully staffed with more robust and balanced representation” — represent the harshest condemnation of Kennedy’s actions by the senator, who ultimately cast the key vote that secured Kennedy’s confirmation.”

A key GOP senator is calling for the CDC's vaccine meeting to be postponed after RFK Jr. shook up the panel.

I love NPR and PBS
The Public Broadcasting Act of 1967 created the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. I reread it today; nothing in the law allows a president to defund PBS and NPR. In fact, Congress specifically sought to insulate public media from political pressure.
