It’s never really been about abortion. It’s about control. Who controls a woman’s body?

We should all control our own bodies.

Abortion bans are sick
A growing body of research indicates that Texas's restrictive abortion bans have negatively impacted the health and lives of Texas women and babies in multiple ways. Across the board, pregnancy outcomes and complications have worsened.
What researchers have discovered about maternal, infant health under Texas' abortion laws
In the more than four years since the state of Texas significantly restricted access to abortion, medical researchers have been studying the health effects of that policy change.

Folks- news flash- Putin doesn’t want peace. If he wanted peace, he would not have invaded in the first place.

Putin doesn’t want peace because peace would mean admitting failure, losing leverage over Ukraine, and risking his own power—so prolonging the war serves him better than ending it

“When American history starts getting treated like something you can ban, erase, rename, or rebrand for somebody else’s ego, I can’t stand on that stage and sleep right at night,” Kristy Lee, who described herself as "just a folk singer from Alabama" told NBC News.

The reoccurring theme of maga.
Don’t let common sense cloud your judgment.
So let’s get this straight:

Trump’s DOJ buried Epstein’s crimes but kept flight logs on Julie K. Brown, the reporter who exposed them. Her 2019 American Airlines booking shows up in the files.

That’s not a data glitch or an oversight.

Just fyi- there is a widespread scam where criminals impersonate law enforcement to trick people into paying fake fines at kiosks using cash, gift cards, crypto, or payment apps, often under the guise of missed jury duty or fake warrants.

At the end of the day math matters.

U.S. power has never been just America alone

Trump treated allies as:
freeloaders
rivals
obstacles

That forced allies to:
hedge
diversify
reduce dependence on the U.S.

Once they do that, leverage is permanently lower

Asia is winning the war on attrition

Most people, across ideologies, want government to work.
Not to posture. Not to score points. To function-
Most people hate-

waste,
hypocrisy,
feeling ignored,
systems that protect insiders and punish everyone else

few people want:
cruelty,
incompetence,
chaos,

That’s a myth pushed by extremes

The real divide isn’t left vs. right.
It’s seriousness vs. performativity.

People want:
-functioning housing systems
-healthcare that works
-schools that prepare kids
-infrastructure that lasts
-effective governance
-
They don’t care which party fixes it — they care that someone does.

Tariffs are hurting consumers and businesses. They are a destructive force to an economy. What Americans are living is extraordinary bad governance. Get the republicans out!!
There is literally nothing he can tell the truth about. He’s a disgrace.

In the Washington Post’s 2024 megadonor analysis, the top 50 donors collectively gave over $2.5B, with:
$1.6B to Republican-leaning groups
$752.3M to Democrat-leaning groups
There’s a reason the political right wants to keep people dumb.

Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

Mail-in voting has its own verification
Mail ballots usually require:
Signature matching
Barcodes tied to your registration
Sometimes witness signatures or ID numbers
Fraud here is rare and statistically traceable.
I love mail in voting. It’s easy and it works

How voting identity actually works in the U.S.
Registration is where identity is verified
When you register to vote, you provide:
A driver’s license number or
The last 4 digits of your Social Security number or
Another form of verification
States check this against government databases.
Easy peasy
Nothing about this is normal. I don't even know where to start other than to say again -- this is not normal.

Thoughts for the day-

If you work full time, you should be able to live where you work.

Healthcare should not destroy families financially.

The economy should reward work, not just ownership

No more trickle up economics. Build an economy that works for everyone

If you haven’t watched the movie Nuremberg, you should.

Nuremberg isn’t timely because history is repeating itself verbatim.
It’s timely because the same pressures on law, truth, and restraint are back—and visible

democracy doesn’t survive on good intentions
