this is maybe trite at this point but it is in your interest to find ways to create things. basically everyone wants you to be consuming nonstop. making stuff, from cooking to photography or whatever, can help you feel more in control. doesn’t even have to be something you share with other people

And I'm sorry to harp on this, but the idea that the naked human body is shameful or provocative or sexual is just insidious at its core.

It fucking isn't. A body is just a body, it's a bunch of flesh and blood and meat. To simply SEE it has no moral character one way or the other.
This is always where it was going to go.

They want control over how human bodies are allowed to be portrayed, not just nudity but in all aspects.

Bluster about "protecting children" from pornography is just the wedge they use to open the door.
The Federalist is coming for your artistic nudes. By which I mean the ones in museums.

"A number of Christian men I’ve known have expressed discomfort at viewing nudity in high art... these are honest men who care about honoring God and womanhood.

(Summoning Salt voice) it turns out that the triggers for both paths are still available throughout the run, and by exploiting a glitch known as “transitioning”, some runners can change modes halfway through the run to have more fun. A human viable method was found by Dr. M Hirschfeld around 1910

Here’s the thing about the tariffs: there will be no “short term pain”. Only long term. Every time a company realizes they can get away with charging you extra they don’t ever lower the price again. They just gouge. Whatever price hikes there are will be here for good.

Victory gardens & CSAs aren't going to solve the potential foodways crisis on the way, BUT they can help your family, while lessening the stress on the system AND connecting you to satisfying work & a community. If you can get to North Cambridge I highly recommend Sun Moon Farm www.sunmoonfarm.org

The decision a lot of universities face now is whether to:

-- have their federal funding pulled because they stood on principle to protect their students and the integrity of their research, or

-- have their funding pulled anyway just because they exist, regardless of how cravenly they submit.

Somerville is as good as it gets in the US. City level protections for LGBT and immigrants, socialist city council members, active mutual aid groups,

And it is not safe. There is nowhere in the US safe from fascism. Resist and protect your neighbors no matter where you live.

Markey's silence on the abduction of Rumeysa Ozturk is damning. Someone needs to run against @markey.senate.gov if he is willing to abandon Massachusetts residents to the Trump regime's Gestapo. @pressley.house.gov has my vote if she runs against him in 2026.

When will we hear from @warren.senate.gov & @markey.senate.gov? I expect ALL public officials in Mass. to fight for Rumeysa Ozturk and ALL international students whom this administration wants to disappear for daring to decry human rights abuses.
Video of the international student at Tufts being arrested by "federal authorities" in Massachusetts has been released and it's terrifying.

They're not even uniformed officers. Just secret police thugs in hoodies and masks.

Original, 13th C. lyrics to "Good King Wenceslas":

Spring has now unwrapped the flowers,
Day is fast reviving.
Life in all her growing powers,
Towards the light is striving.
Gone the iron touch of cold,
Winter time and frost time,
Seedlings working through the mould,
Now make up for lost time.
