Like to cook and garden. Spent some time on our narrow boat. I quite enjoy being at home pottering. 🏡

A small reminder, especially if you struggle with low mood in the winter, that this is just 8 or 9 weeks away, fewer in some cases 👇🏼🌱🌱

I am glad to see this in the UK while the Trump administration in the US continues to kill wind every projects.
Probably won’t see this in mainstream media - aka the right wing press - coz it’s against their narrative. Wind energy in Britain broke a new record last week with nearly 23GW on the grid one cold windy evening. That was 56% of all electricity on Britain’s grid.

Imagine you're a tourist from another country. You've purchased tickets, travel arrangements, reservations, etc., well in advance, only to find out that, at the insistence of Trump, FIFA moved the game you're attending to the other side of the country.

Seriously, don't come to this World Cup.

What an admirably clear statement from the Jewish Leadership Council, especially when all of those involved must surely have been dealing with so many other urgent challenges in safety, security and grief + shock today before having this further divisive and distracting intervention to address too.

Exactly. UK pensioners are paid a substistance level amount to keep them ticking over and no more. Imprisoned within four walls because they can't afford to go out and spend to enjoy themselves in their remaining years. This is their reward for a lifetime of hard work and paying taxes.
The obvious question is why aren't state pensions big enough to cover winter fuel bills in the first place, making winter fuel payments entirely unnecessary

Great new paper on the evolution of birds - showing how changes in forelimbs (becoming wings) and legs were linked together. I LOVE research like this which reveals the secrets of how evolution works - how development, genetics, form are all joined up: royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/...
