It's outrageous that swampy corporate lobbyists and the politicians carrying their water stripped our military's "Right to Repair" out of the defense bill.

Right now, greedy defense contractors are blocking our troops from fixing their own equipment.
Congress had a bipartisan plan to fix that, but lobbyists stopped it.

Another great @gregsargent.bsky.social thread on efforts to #FreeKilmar. The admin's plan to persecute Kilmar, and in process, to arrogate power, and to vitiate judicial guardrails has backfired. My only addition would be to say "For now, the lower courts *AND KILMAR* are admirably...."
It's hard to know exactly what will happen now, given how unprecedented this is. But Trump and Miller envisioned this as a test of their ability to spread fear of lawless state terror. For now, the lower courts are admirably defending the rule of law. 5/5

People breathe a sigh of relief that the judiciary is holding, but it's just a lesson that the confederates need to degrade it more in order to completely destroy America, the country that refused to bow to them. They did the same thing with the civil service. They learn.

I wish people would stop looking at contempt proceedings (or any court action) as useless if they don’t result in prison time. The truth and the process are just as important. More so, IMHO.

WOW; a DEEPLY corrupt move by the immigration courts; clear collaboration with Trump admin officials to produce a specific result with zero notice to the party and ALSO in a situation where the judge facially lacks jurisdiction; the judge had denied a motion to reopen and the case is on appeal.
Judge Xinis ordered Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s release in part bc ICE could not produce a final “order of removal” to deport him. So last night, they went out and got an immigration judge to issue one.
