So far today, Chuck Schumer has said his strategy for preventing Trump sending troops into blue cities is to win over Republican senators (!) while Hakeem Jeffries praised Eric Adams's courage and authenticity (!!) while refusing to endorse Mamdani. Again.

These two gotta go.

My name is Graham Platner and I’m running for US Senate to defeat Susan Collins and topple the oligarchy that’s destroying our country.

I’m a veteran, oysterman, and working class Mainer who’s seen this state become unlivable for working people. And that makes me deeply angry.

ICE just arrested Brad Lander, the NYC Comptroller and one of the leading candidates for Mayor, without grounds.

He was conducting routine immigration court work, escorting individuals from hearings.

He asked ICE for their warrant - well within his legal rights.

This is political intimidation.
Whoa! NYC mayoral candidate and current city Comptroller Brad Lander seemingly arrested at the NYC immigration court while attending to escort someone attending their hearing.
Lander just got detained by federal agents as he tried to escort a man out of the courtroom. Lander was taken in an elevator with masked agents, along with one member of his NYPD security detail.

In the failed state of California in the overrun city of Los Angeles today I drove my mom to the airport, got some coffee with a friend, got the kids from school and worked on some podcast edits. Thank god the United States Military will be sent in to shoot unarmed civilians. This cannot hold.

Los Angeles is a dress rehearsal for Trump. His "Big Beautiful Bill" would allow him to create this chaos any time he wants, in any American city he wants.

The correct way to connect the authoritarian presence in LA and the Big Beautiful Bill is that the bill gives the government the resources to do this in dozens of cities at once. So if you don't like what's happening in LA, it's coming to your town if the bill passes.

We need to build some real social stigma around being afraid of cities. You don't have to like them or live there, but a politics built this strongly around watching TV and going "ewww" is embarrassing, and people should be embarrassed by it. It's like "fear of werewolves" being your top issue.

And I’ll continue to march under this administration as a recommitment to the fight for equality today.

Yeah @schumer.senate.gov nobody cares about your “strong letter.” Your leadership will never, ever be enough.
CHUCK SCHUMER: We sent him [Trump] a very strong letter just the other day.

DANA BASH: You'll let us know if you get a response to that letter.

2. Stop demanding people announce all their activism on social media.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz perfectly summed up the current mood of the Democratic Party: "The Democratic Party is unified — they’re unified in being pissed off at the Democrats."

With frustration boiling over leadership, could the Dems be on the verge of their own Tea Party moment?
