Sadopopulism: deliberately inflict pain on your supporters then direct their anger at "other" (immigrants/outsiders). Then manipulate outrage to retain power.

#Trump started an extreme #culturewar. Now he’s exporting this war to #Europe in order to flip governments. We need to realise that America is not withdrawing from Europe, but is actually trying to subjugate it.

An official document calling for #regimechange in European countries was published.
Trump is working on regime change in Europe — fact, not conspiracy theory

The Telegraph had to correct its multiple lies about "illegal immigrants" in London at least three separate times.
It takes an obscene amount of hubris to lecture the BBC when you have The Telegraph’s record on truth-telling.

Some of the paper’s errors this year are so bad they’re almost laughable 👇🏻

The fact that the BBC has made serious culpable errors does not negate the point that there is a real and concerted right-wing media campaign to destroy it. Both points can be true at the same time and the campaign would not end even if the errors did.

Well done Sky 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Not something I have said for a long long time!
Vital piece of investigative reporting from Sky. They've uncovered the X algorithm which feeds users extremist right wing material from the moment they join the site. It is a far-right radicalisation engine, by design.

Plaid Cymru won the Caerphilly by-election overnight, with Reform pushing Labour into a distant third.

Plaid got 47% of the vote on a record turnout, suggesting to me that there was some tactical voting to keep Reform out, which won 36%.

A factor that could be underpriced in a general election.

They lie about the ECHR.
Just like they lied about Brexit. Claiming if we just got rid of that ‘European’ thing, we’d be free, we’d have control, all our problems solved…
It’s NOT TRUE.
We’d inflict more chaos on ourselves and torch our own human rights framework for NOTHING.
For liars.
Again.
The European Convention on Human Rights is being misrepresented in the UK, says former Supreme Court President Lady Hale👇

Tbh, the whole anti-migrant rhetoric is already making my friends on ILR look at moving.

Of course, they’re all the ones with the money and talent *to* move. Which isn’t what politicians are selling as the consequence of ILR-bashing. But it’s what will happen.
The 10 year wait for Indefinite Leave to Remain will make the UK very unattractive for high skilled workers who often have alternatives. 2019 data (excluding the NHS and universities) shows that high skilled workers on visas are heavily concentrated in multinationals who can move jobs abroad (5/x)

California, for one, is fighting back against the mad king’s desperate drive to Make Fossil Fuels Great Again.
In Trump’s America, energy policy is set by the highest bidder, economics and common-sense be damned.

We’ll keep chasing an all-of-the above clean energy strategy to power our future and clean our air — no matter what politicians in DC try to dictate.

Nigel Farage is claiming to Congress that the UK gov deliberately withheld details of the Southport attacker from the public.

This is dangerous and it’s false. The attacker was under 18, and so a court had to give express permission to release his name in exceptional circumstances, which it did.
