I like this guy’s choice of words. Very accurate.
Gallego: "The reason why you have Article 1 power is because you don't want to let idiots like President Donald Trump make foreign policy decisions without their being a check and balance against that"

American leaders have proven on many occassions that that they lack the maturity to manage a global hegemony. Trump, however, marks a new low.

Funny thing, that! Having rolled the Brexit boulder uphill for a decade, it seems to want to roll back down again almost all by itself!
British officials are zeroing in on an upgraded Brexit agreement with the EU, their largest trading partner, with negotiations on agrifood and energy taking center stage.

For many traders, it can’t come soon enough.

This is the best explanation I've seen about the role of Guyana's oil in what just happened in Venezuela—something @fjquintana.com also alluded to on here yesterday. I still think that only gets you about 40-60% of the way to invasion without Rubio or Miller manipulating Trump for their own ends.
Something I see a lot of folks missing in discussions about what's happening Venezuela, particularly around oil, is the role U.S. oil majors' interest in Guyana—and the threat Venezuela posed to it—has in all of it. Explainer here: drilled.media/news/guyana-...
The U.S.-Venezuela-Guyana Oil Triangle
The U.S. interest in Venezuela isn’t just about the oil there, but also about the oil next door in Guyana, and the U.S. oil companies that have staked their future on it.

NEW BLOG: Maduro isn't the big issue here, regardless of what Trump says. The bigger issue is that fascists flout the rule of law, democratic principles, and human rights. Their crime sprees will continue until they're stopped, but in a world of cowards who steps up?

A few thoughts on Venezuela
Trump will have you believe that Maduro is the reason for his intervention in Venezuela. Do not believe him.

The renaissance of political cruelty
There has been a significant shift in politics in Western democracies. Rather than help the vulnerable, we now victimise them. Why has this happened and where are we heading?

We are in a big battle between people with empathy versus those without empathy. Cruelty is the preferred policy of the latter, because their opinions are shocking, but the truth is that they are stunted individuals and their policies will not make us better off as a society.
Hunting is completely impractical, causes immense damage to farming, benefits nobody and is very cruel indeed.

No wonder Britain's leading Brexiter backs it.
It’s the Boxing Day Hunt, Nigel Farage thinks packs of hounds should chase a fox and tear it to shreds.

It is DISGUSTING that Palestine Action is even considered a terrorist organisation. It is patently NOT a terrorist organisation. If these activists are allowed to die the UK government will have blood on its hands.

Founded in terrorism, IZrael has elevated their zionist/fascist war crimes to total ethnic cleansing & genocide against Palestine.

They rank at the bottom because they are the worst!
