Just woke up even angrier. Impeach, convict, remove. Draft articles now. Either we have a representative government or we don’t. Do not shut up about this until there’s a vote.

rubio pretty much believes in a reverse domino theory for latin america and since he is effectively running foreign policy in the region i would expect him to see cuba as his next target
And I don’t want to sound conspiratorial, but if they feel like they can do this in Venezuela without any serious consequences, they’re absolutely going to try it in Cuba too.

ah, perhaps instead of pumping millions into endless factional infighting Dem donors could invest in making local Dem organizations genuine civic spaces that can reach people during and between elections

Trump just designated “Antifa” as a terrorist organization, on par with ISIS and Al Qaeda. As a reminder, “antifa” is short for “antifascist”.

They will use this lie to surveil, imprison, and kill Americans on the left.

This may be our Reichstag Fire moment. Wake up.

The left better start figuring out how to weaponize today's decision rather than just (rightfully) criticizing it.

- Go back into Judge Kaczmaryk's court to dissolve all of his nationwide orders.

- Pass gun bans and insist any order applies only to plaintiffs.

I was briefed on the intelligence last week.

Iran posed no imminent threat of attack to the United States. Iran was not close to building a deliverable nuclear weapon. The negotiations Israel scuttled with their strikes held the potential for success.

There is a lot going on in our country today.

I know many are feeling uncertain and scared —but know that we stand with you and to stand in your truth and in your power.

We are in this together and we will get through. They cannot take away our voices, our rights, or our joy. ❤️

Stephen Miller says they are “actively looking at” suspending the writ of habeas corpus, which is only allowed when the US has been invaded or during an insurrection, which would not allow people to challenge their incarceration in court if they are arrested and detained.

Well organized nonviolent protests work!!! Trump is reliant on a legitimacy based authority, whether he wants to admit or not. He’s mad that people don’t like him, and the people need to use that
i will say again that given the trajectory of the white house so far, strident opposition a la 2017 would have absolutely been the most prudent and effective decision and the absence of that opposition in the first two months made things demonstrably worse.

Democrats CANNOT run on simply "Trump Bad, We'll undo his policies". They need to run on expanding welfare to help people cope who can no longer afford food for their kids, who lose their job and suffer. The status quo without Trump is still bad, dems should fight to improve it, not maintain it.

If Democrats are going to block this spending bill (which they should), they're going to need to communicate all of the harmful provisions within it. If they just kill it and shut down the government with no explanation as to why, they're going to tank their image even further.

I understand the intent of trying to take away right-wing domination of the podcast and internet space, but Gavin Newsom's choices are branding legitimacy to the furthest right flanks of the MAGA movement. It's dangerous to bring their harmful ideas to the forefront of discussion.
