Look I'm sure there are many actual crimes one could charge Stephen Miller with, but I wouldn't hate it if we invented a new crime of "being Stephen Miller" to charge him with in addition

This was revealed to me in a vision

Ahh the simple pleasure of watching a nice lighthearted film where nothing bad happens to distract from the real world...

"You should be terrified" of ICE is definitely a winning message and conservatives should say it more often.

People We Meet On Vacation was genuinely a delightful little film

masked, unidentified goons who assault and murder with impunity. a literal gestapo.
This is the ICE agent who murdered a woman by shooting her multiple times in the face.

We need to have a serious conversation as a society about people taking the elevator just one floor when I have places to be!!

"We are going to run the country."

Notably, this is not a thing you can just, do. The United States has no capacity to just pick of the reins of government of a country of 30 million.

And I am willing to bet that they have absolutely no plans for how to actually achieve it.

Sometimes I am reminded that the Pope is American and I'm flabbergasted all over again

I just have to believe that in 5 years these people will be just like utterly banished from public life when the pendulum swings back it's the only thing keeping me sane.

Finally watched Marty Supreme and I have thoughts.

1. Agree with the general consensus that this is a titanic performance from our boy Timmy.

2. Great performances all around. I admire Safdie's ability to get good performances out of people who aren't really actors.

I spend so much of my time as a PhD student among an unreasonably smart group of people (students and faculty at UCLA) that I am genuinely taken aback sometimes at how dumb a lot of people actually are.
i still don't know where conservative zoomers get this from (from the Manhattan Institute voter panel of zoomer voters)

The discourse around the historical accuracy of Nolan's Odyssey is so funny to me.

"The Greeks didn't have the technology to shape wood like that but Nolan just wants to pretend!"

My brother in Christ there is also a cyclops like right there what are you talking about?

As my Russian-Jewish great grandmother was known to say to my grandfather: "you know Victor, I stop long ago to give you advices. But now...I make a suggestion."

Conservative Jewish leaders ought to think long and hard about who they're throwing in with

We are re-deriving Ibn Khaldun from first principles. That's the stage we're at and it's not a great indication of where we're headed...
In a loose folksy way I’ve started to believe that shit falls apart approximately every 80 years because the generation that knew True Horror dies off and the young folks left don’t comprehend the stakes.
I blame the passing of the WW2 generation. Some people didn't have a grandparent who would kick their ass for talking up Nazis and it shows.

Complaining about today's Wordle is a sign of weakness, a sign that you've never seen a Christmas pageant or one of the most iconic Vines of all time

Gotta be honest.

I thought things would get bad quick.

I didn't have "Trump proposing the Hunger Games" on my bingo card.
