I just have to believe that in 5 years these people will be just like utterly banished from public life when the pendulum swings back it's the only thing keeping me sane.
Finally watched Marty Supreme and I have thoughts.
1. Agree with the general consensus that this is a titanic performance from our boy Timmy.
2. Great performances all around. I admire Safdie's ability to get good performances out of people who aren't really actors.

I spend so much of my time as a PhD student among an unreasonably smart group of people (students and faculty at UCLA) that I am genuinely taken aback sometimes at how dumb a lot of people actually are.

In a loose folksy way I’ve started to believe that shit falls apart approximately every 80 years because the generation that knew True Horror dies off and the young folks left don’t comprehend the stakes.
