@tkingfisher.bsky.social you’ve posted this before, but I just can’t say enough how gorgeous these books will be. Illumicrate does a beautiful job on special editions and these are going to be stunning and reasonably priced.

It’s amazing how much better the kitchen looks if you just wipe down the stove. Yes- I’m doing this at 6am.

So proud of this beautiful boy. It’s been 4 weeks since the vet said he’d be dead within days if not immediately brought in for ICU care ($5k+ estimate from emergency clinic). He has defied every expectation in the best possible way.
Happy and active. His cheerful, cuddly self.

@angelfish29.bsky.social do you ever give your cats baths? I used to when I first got cats over 40 years ago, but learned that that is not necessary and stopped. Now my Poppy is getting old and sick and not cleaning her self. Her fur feels yucky and dandruffy. I’m thinking about it.

An interesting bit of self knowledge coming my way this weekend. My HVAC is broken and in Florida it is still very hot. I have chosen to stay home and roast in my own house rather than get a air conditioned hotel room. Cheapness wins out over comfort at least for now.
