A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

Weasel framing of the day. Rather than stating the plain truth that RFK and Trump are dangerous loons who have each presided over heath disasters, this instead positions these unqualified fools as certain and scientists as uncertain, and validates the canard that autism is a disease to prevent.

Kavanaugh's statements make the problem worse, not better. If the reason SCOTUS is using cryptic shadow docket orders is because "five" of them can't "reach a consensus or a compromise on a particular issue that might be difficult," then that order should not be precedential —there's no majority.
Brett Kavanaugh says there’s a good reason Supreme Court rulings can sometimes be so cryptic
In remarks to a judicial conference, Kavanaugh also defended Chief Justice John Roberts.

Old Soviet joke for today:

A man walks into a newsstand every day, looks around, and leaves.

After a long time of this, the owner says “Can I help you find something?”

“I’m looking for the obituaries.”

“The obituaries are in the back of the newspaper, comrade.”

“Not the one I’m looking for.”

Trump's genius tariff strategy have accomplished exactly what analysts said they would: American aluminum is now vastly more expensive than its competition, and essentially unmarketable.

I love to show up every day for my job, which is standing around holding the front of my tactical vest and getting told to choke to death by thousands of passers-by while 11 of my coworkers handcuff a roofer on his way to work. Every night I drive 80 minutes home, thinking about nothing at all.

I don’t give a flying fuck how “desperate” you are for a job. There is nothing that could ever justify participation doing this to people who have committed no crimes, who have followed the rules, who only want a better life for themselves and their kids. Hide your faces you gutless bastards
