"Bigenital Revolution," the book I wrote + @jpawlik.com drew, about the new form of gender affirming surgery I was among the first to get, was published by @microcosm.bsky.social in March!

It is my hopeful message in a bottle I'm floating out to the world.

Please call your representatives and tell them to veto the “Sunset Section 230 Act”. Section 230 prevents platforms from being held accountable for user generated content. If it gets repealed, websites will start overly censoring their content.

Bipartisan group of senators, led by Graham, push to sunset Section 230
A bipartisan group of senators – championed by Sen. Lindsey Graham – on Thursday introduced legislation that would sunset Section 230.

Circling back to this, because I'm STILL riled up

This (and every) dumbed down, sugarcoated adaptation was NEVER made "for kids". It was made to coddle and placate sensitive, reactionary, misperceptive adults who are too dumb and afraid to think critically or feel deeply about the world around them
People who argue "who cares it's just for kids" all I can say is fuck right off. Kids deserve thoughtful, well-made movies that challenge them just as much as adults do. Kids aren't stupid, and they remember how movies affect them basically forever.

look up your senator to call them, Section 230 is the law that made the internet what it is. Without it, the government can punish user content and free speech on platforms directly

Tell them Section 230 is what makes the internet free and powerful

Do! Not! Fucking! Do! This! It would be both a tremendous mistake and a gift to the people who want to erase non-conforming voices on the internet. Who do you think that will hurt most? The people it always hurts: minorities, women, lgbtq people, anti-fascists, and progressives!
Sen. WHITEHOUSE: We finally are moving to file a bipartisan Section 230 repeal bill. Waiting any longer serves no useful purpose.

unfriendly reminder that any account of KOSA that doesn't **lead** with its drafters' **explicit intent** to push trans people off the internet – or, worse, like this one, omit it entirely – is either massively uninformed or deliberately whitewashing a bipartisan far-right bill driven by bigotry.
The House is taking its most significant step to address kids online safety since killing KOSA last year. But the proposals here are likely to result in pushback from both long-time opponents and historic supporters of the most popular measure so far. theverge.com/news/829492/...
