Haven't seen it talked about in a while, so unfriendly but necessary reminder that Patreon is not being forced by Apple to do anything. Patreon is actively choosing to force Subscription Models, and they said they were going to years ago in a blog post long before the iOS app entered the discussion.

Do not purchase a membership on iOS because those fees ARE absolutely real and do suck, but they are the least important issue about the recent ongoings with Patreon and the iOS app. The subscription model forced onto all creators and users is THE problem, and Patreon is using Apple as a scapegoat.

Discord is already starting to walk things back a little, so people should keep doing what they're doing (cancel Nitro, leave feedback/criticism, direct contact through support tickets/phone/email/etc)
