There’s not much these days that shocks me but this did it.

Unfathomable: this man was once considered to be a top contender for Trump’s AG, and ran Grassley’s judicial nominations team as Chief Counsel.
MAGA legal world, man…

Gorsuch and Grassley should be so proud.

An important part of arresting the consolidation of authoritarianism is convincing corporations and institutions that Trump will eventually be out of power and at that point they’ll face consequences for their actions and by that standard this is a good sign

Sincere question. Are his teeth in??
This tired, deeply-damaged man is so needy. He has to have references to him being president on his hat, on his shirt, and on a golf-framed placard next to his overcooked cheeseburger he's almost too-out-of-it to eat.

We are NOT at war.

All of it is a crime.

All of it.
Q: "A new WaPo report says that Secretary Hegseth called for everyone aboard the first suspected drug boat that was targeted to be killed when two people survived…with a follow-on strike."

Sen. Tim Kaine: "If that reporting is true it…rises to the level of a war crime."

Inch by inch, there's some sanity slowly beginning to creep back to DC.
Rep. Mike Turner on the double strike to comply with Hegseth's orders: "If that occurred, that would be very serious and I agree that would be an illegal act…This is completely outside of anything that has been discussed with Congress and there is an ongoing investigation."

If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

This whole thing is racist, but take particular note of the threat of denaturalization. That's stripping people of their citizenship, and that's the road to mass murder and atrocity.
Trump: “I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries … denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization.“

This country & its violence & war creates broken people.

And then Trump has the nerve to deny our vets care & our allies asylum for themselves and their families, and instead he and Miller blame the entire Afghani culture for what the US did.

We made broken soldiers. We broke them. WE DID THAT.

A veteran moving to the Pacific Northwest, then driving to DC to stage a mass shooting of government agents? Sounds like he assimilated into American culture pretty successfully.

The whole thing was a fcking setup against a Black woman DA with the courage to indict Trump.
DA Fani Willis had a once-in-a-lifetime case, the most important of her career: a chance to criminally prosecute a lying president who tried to intimidate people into overturning the 2020 election.

She screwed up.
