I am delighted to have a couple of poems in this beautiful anthology. I got to hear many of these spoken aloud by the authors. And, to have something that also has Witi Ihimaera in it as well. books.apple.com/nz/book/ahi-...

My amazement continues: Waterstones has chosen Vanished as one of best books of the year. Especially pleased that history of science is being featured on these lists, and even more so as imperial history is even rarer on these lists. Hurrah!

Another reminder that a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.

ALL ROAD USERS.

And painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all.

For sharrows, it’s actually safer to NOT have them.

Truly and utterly stunned. The Telegraph has chosen Vanished as one of the ‘greatest books of 2025’ and described it as a ‘rigorous, fascinating narrative.’

Verily, this is the most unexpected place for my roar to have reached.
