Host: You are looking at a live picture of the destruction of the East Wing of the White House to make space for Donald Trump's 90,000 square foot ballroom. It is bigger than everything that is on the complex now, almost twice as big. The entire East Wing will be torn down in this demolition.

The Times says the East Wing is expected to be fully torn down by the weekend to make room for Trump's ballroom for billionaires — despite the fact that Trump pledged the White House would not be touched.

I wish I could say I was shocked, but unfortunately I thought this was the near certain outcome once Trump & Putin had had their phonecall. Trump's position on the war is not "capricious": he consistently parrots Putin's talking points on the inevitability of Russian victory & Ukrainian concessions.
NEW:Trump urged Zelenskyy to accept Russia’s terms for ending its war in a volatile White House meeting on Friday, warning that Putin had said he would “destroy” Ukraine if it did not agree.

The meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy descended many times into a “shouting match” on.ft.com/3WMSQSu
