Here's the NIH's proposed budget - from $48 billion to $27 billion. NIAID, current ~$7 billion cut to ~$4.2 billion.
The proposed 15% cap on indirect costs remains.
Again, these budgets are passed, and our leadership in science, technology, and innovation is gone.

Awful. OpenAI (and other AI cos) are making a hard push for getting AI into K-12 schools, which they see as a burgeoning market. Most teachers I've spoken to, meanwhile, say AI is terrible.
Outside of computer class, there should be no gen AI in K12 schools, period.

Was at the dentist this morning and realized two things:
1) it’s kind of relaxing (dare I say meditative?) to just lie there, not talk, and just ponder things.
