I made a starter pack for neuroscience folks but I just saw that it’s capped at 150 people. Sorry if I missed anyone! Maybe #neuroscience folks should start making subfield starter packs? 🧪

Sharing this again after just watching Dr. Christine Rabinak give the keynote lecture at the chapter meeting of Michigan SfN. One of the bravest and most moving talks I have ever attended sharing her journey from basic to human scientist to patient. @brainsbeesbikes.bsky.social

I am actively looking for a research scientist position or research administration role within the Raleigh-Durham (RDU) area! Please reach out if my background and skillset might fit your labs needs :-) Lots of experience with preclinical models, translational neuroscience, and behavioral analyses!

I was hoping that my first bsky post would be more cheerful. I recently joined NIH (NIEHS) as a PO. I fought hard for this position and was so excited to support health science from a new vantage point… I picked up my life and moved to NC. Unfortunately, my time at NIEHS was short lived.

I think he is being modest here. He is also an excellent molecular biologist with extensive experience in FACS and genomic techniques. He is also highly skilled with microscopy and recently had one of his images featured in the BRAIN initiative calendar!

This is the former postdoc that I had mentioned in my previous post. If anyone in the Raleigh Durham area is hiring he would be an excellent hire!

So a former postdoc from our department had just started as a PO at NIH and was terminated in the wave of terminations last week. He is in the research triangle and a phenomenal scientist with expertise in stress and glia. If anyone in the RTI is hiring asap please let me know! #neuroskyence

Hey all, I know it’s a sewer, but the main action and fight on the NIH is over on Twitter. We could use your voice. I’ve already been contacted by reporters based on posts over there, it’s your best chance to be heard.
