Halfway through writers month and I edited out more than I’ve written new. While I’ve made great strides with book 2, the negative words per day is getting me down.

If Putin had done this, he would be up for the ultimate “Worst person you know just made a great point” award.
I am AMAZED there are not more people at the very least pointing out that this lightning-fast deterioration in Trump's health, happened only a few days after he had a lovely cup of Polonium tea and a slice of Novichok marble cake, with his best friend from Moscow.

Porn and art with sexual themes deserve to exist on their own merit, not because censoring them has knock-on effects for non-sexual content. Please stop expressing outrage by implying that censorship would be okay if it *just* affected sex workers and artists engaging with sexual themes.

This absolutely moronic bill has now taken effect on BlueSky. So anyone here in the UK would do well to spread the word of this petition, and force them to discuss it in parliament.
Sign the petition, write to your MP and spread the word
I know it seems like a losing battle but I got to hope if enough of us make our voices known before the country gets excised form the internet we might be able to save a little bit of our freedom

wife: how was guarding the two paths today, honey?

guard: [looking away] fine

wife: did something happen?

guard: [tearing up] no

wife: would the other guard tell me something happened?

I wrote something really cool yesterday.

I’m beginning to think that the people who can’t be bothered to write a book also couldn’t be bothered to look into how to write a book before they gave up.
I had a friend ask me if I couldn't train an LLM on my books and then have it first-draft chapters for me, to "see how the characters react to plot points" and I had to explain that for me, that's not just the best part but literally the entire point of writing. It's not "to have a book."

Last night I revived my old habit of writing super late when I’m half asleep. I forgot how productive it was, if you don’t count the typos.
