Redesign of Calmodulin for Genetically Encoded Zn2+ Sensing with High Dynamic Range
The development of genetically encoded Zn2+ probes (GEZPs) has been hindered by the limited signal transduction efficiency of natural zinc-binding domains, but the encoded Ca2+ indicators utilize the ...

In a new phase 3 trial, people randomly assigned to receive a flu shot made with modified mRNA were 34.5% less likely to be diagnosed with an influenza-like illness than people given a standard flu shot made with inactivated virus.

We need to stop the anti-science attacks against mRNA vaccines!

Our new paper is published in the Journal of Chemical Biology! 🏮 We share StayRose, a red version of StayGold 🏮 StayRose has an unnatural amino acid-based chromophore, and has the same immense photobleach-resistance as StayGold 💡
StayRose: A photostable StayGold derivative redshifted by genetic code expansion
Photobleaching of fluorescent proteins often limits the acquisition of high-quality images in microscopy. StayGold, a novel dimeric GFP recently monomerized through sequence engineering, addresses thi...

Live cell ACTIN imaging has never been easier with SPY650-FastAct_X!

1. Add the probe to the cells
2. Image 1h later

SPY650 is highly suited for STED imaging. The image shows a confocal/STED comparison of the fine actin mesh in a live HeLa cell.
