This has Schumer personally written all over it. I’d bet a lot of money he asked for this to be added

Dog I cannot deal with the knowledge that I personally have the financial resources necessary to influence professional sports. This is untenable, we’re gonna have to ban gambling wholesale

Setting aside round 75 of “is the economy good” arguments with Stancil, from a messaging standpoint the left should not be promising to bring down consumer prices.
1) there is not really an easy policy switch to flip to deliver that
2) consumer product deflation is a really bad economic indicator

The JCO post about Elon not liking anything is something I've said before about a lot of politics poisoned posting addicts. People who never once post about a band they like or anything at all. There are so many like that.

All of the Welcomefest unindicted FTX co-conspirators are throwing a fit trying to blame Dunlap because their bought-and-paid for centrist Great White Hope voluntarily decided he’d rather be a lobbyist than stay in Congress.

That’s a risk you take with guys willing to be bribed!

'we have lost young men' was pushed by Shor, and his source was 'i made it up'
Republicans thought they had a permanent hold over young men. They didn't.

Spanberger wins men 18-29 by 14%, Sherrill by 10%, and Mamdani by a stunning 40%.

Taxing commercial flight to reflect its true environmental costs presents genuine policy & economic tradeoffs, but taxing private air travel does not, and the latter should be taxed at ludicrously punitive rates to address the deficit created by the former.
Impact of flights on global warming severely underestimated by many carbon calculators & offset schemes that don’t properly account for taxiing, sub-optimal routing or non-CO2 climate effects which are larger component:

Your flight emissions are way higher than carbon calculators suggest
Existing tools that work out the carbon footprint of flights greatly underestimate their warming impact, say the makers of a new calculator

genuinely crazy-making how much the national press is indifferent to the verifiable fact that jd vance is buddy buddy with internet nazis, and the degree to which this is almost certainly a form of solidarity among people with a similar institution pedigree

He has already chosen, what the fuck are we doing here

Political correctness won’t let America have the hard conversation about how 80-90 percent of people who work in tech are functionally illiterate
"Torment Nexus" comes from this tweet and is often used now to describe the kind of negative experiences you can have with social networks, like getting dogpiled or harassed or being pushed into conflict

This right here, this exact sentence, is THE problem in American political journalism.

The IRA *was* cheap energy and good jobs! That was the whole bill! Democrats did precisely what political pundits are telling them to do and the pundits just ignore it.
