Toured three hospitals this weekend. Doctors were desperate for my business. “What can I do to get you into this MRI machine right now?” they asked. Told them I had to talk to my wife, but I eventually haggled them up to a 5-year kidney warrantee.

what if the firehose of fascist shit isn't wiping out the memory of the electorate? what if it's just hitting different things? and idk it seems like a persisting problem to me that dems aren't in lockstep with and fully tied to no kings, possibly the biggest social movement in american history

I do think this is a point of radicalization because a lot of angry, angry normal people were ready to dig in and suffer a lot in order to make fascists suffer a little, and their resolution was sold out and made into a mockery

But in the last year it’s gone from “scolding like a lame parent about moderation in ideology” to “we support fascism, sexual abusers, and a world that looks like the Handmaids Tale as long as anything slightly left doesn’t happen”
It feels weird to say goodbye to something so old, but we must.

the strategic use of masking and unmasking (e.g. the always mask-less Greg Bovino) is part of a game, it's dress-up, it's trolling. the KKK did the same -- they wore costumes as part of a troll.

"It wasn't working" it was making everyone miserable and they were broadly blaming Trump. That's the strategy working.
