I know it's funny to show how useless GenAI is, but even using it to do that is environmentally unsound and pumps up their usage numbers. People need to start thinking of AI as litter. Maybe the thing you toss on the ground isn't much, but when a lot of people think that way it makes a giant mess.
You also can’t be punk and use GenAI. How do I know this is GenAI? Look at the text. GenAI cannot create the same letter exactly twice. Every letter is slightly unique. Someone may have pasted the logo on the punk woman’s shirt, though.

These technologists know damn well these things aren’t even remotely conscious. They just desperately want us to believe they are because it makes the tech seem more advanced than it is.

It’s really disappointing that a site I respect like Trekmovie would share (and possibly create) AI slop. Especially of a guy giving a gift to the person who ordered his brutal execution. Like WTF?

One of the biggest tells of AI slop is when there are multiple people interacting they don’t make eye contact. These two men in a supposed fight for an airplane seat are looking straight past each other. Also, why would this story take 23 minutes to tell?

What I find as disturbing as the bear giving sex and kink info to kids is that most of what it's telling them is hallucinated word salad. So it's not just sex talk, it's dangerously inaccurate sex talk. That's two messes that have to be cleaned up now.

Call me crazy, but I think the new Reagan portrait Trump hung in the Oval Office is GenAI. It doesn’t really look like him. The background falls apart in a way that is messy rather than impressionistic, and I think the JPEG distortion in the painting that is worse than the rest of the photo.

For those saying “what’s the harm in making something cute and feel good?” Because of the prevalence of slop we can no longer just enjoy something cute anymore. We have to question if it’s real. It’s sick that we can’t just flip through simple cat vids anymore without turning on our BS detectors.

This is not an autonomous robot and will never be. It‘s a way to outsource housework so you don’t have to see the person you are exploiting. It’s the same thing as robotaxis which are remote operated half the time as well. Eventually people overseas will be operating these for pennies on the dollar.

This is meaningless. After George Floyd every white soccer mom was saying “defund the police” and painting Black Lives Matter on their streets. As soon as Trump was out of office they went back to Karenning harder than ever. Hell, they all voted for Trump II.
It’s impossible to overstate how much “abolish ice” is the normie position now here in chicago — just countless random moms at toddler soccer on a park district field asking me where I bought my anti-ice t-shirt. average people don’t like our neighborhoods being terrorized.
