That’s what these ‘debates’ are really about: framing old fashioned oppression as some kind of high-brow concern for women’s happiness.

You know what makes us happy? Bank accounts. Voting rights. The ability to leave a bad marriage and not have a miscarriage kill us.

I just realized that Majorie Taylor Greene likely picked January 5th because it would (barely) make her eligible for a congressional pension.

A House Member has to win three consecutive terms and serve at least five years. January 3rd marks her fifth year in Congress.

I think any story about Trump's autocracy should be mostly about the people and institutions who failed to stop it. This guy isn't a political genius, everything else just happens to be rotten. 'Toddler Consolidates Power In Household' is a story about incompetent parents, not shrewd maneuvering

Why has Dominion Voting Systems been settling defamation lawsuits with Trump allies who falsely claimed the company stole the 2020 election?

Because Dominion has just been bought by a company run by a former GOP election official.

Be warned.

This is Trump’s shutdown.

They are Trump’s tariffs.

It is Trump’s economy.

It will be Trump’s recession.

Yesterday, Meta unveiled a new "feed" on its platforms that will exclusively feature AI-generated videos.

This overshadowed another big announcement...

On Tuesday, Meta launched a super new PAC geared towards electing politicians that will block any AI regulation.

Hello?

And you are significantly more powerful than he wants you to think.

Charlie Kirk did not practice politics the right way. He made a career of engaging in the worst degree of bad faith and putting the lives of vulnerable people at greater risk with his shameless propaganda.

His murder is entirely reprehensible, but that doesn't condone his unbridled hatred.

the stuff in here about the Michigan senate primary is accurate and infuriating.
This is the most disheartening article I've read today. It makes me think the Democratic Party isn't salvageable, or at least that Schumer and Gillibrand are the Manchin and Sinema of our time and must be hounded into retirement. (Read free: archive.is/ZB3G8).

Establishment Democrats Are Going to Torpedo the 2026 Midterms
Having failed to learn the key lesson from last year’s defeat, party leaders are promoting moderate candidates to run against populist progressives in next year’s elections.

btw, we shouldn't let the firing of the BLS commissioner and the Epstein scandal distract from the fact that yesterday's job report really was bad. Outside of health care, the economy LOST jobs over the last three months.
