My most strongly held comics opinion (I hesitate to say "opinion," because it's a fact): lettering should be the first finished thing done, not the last. Done after (or along with) roughs and finalized before pencils. Pencils and inking should be done AROUND the lettering.

I'm proud of so many pages of Action Comics 1092 (out this week)- but this scene where the Kents hear that local farms are shutting down and being sold off... landing the Spielbergian feeling of Mark Waid's script and conveying the Kansas community struggle was gratifying.
