Really helpful and important listen! As Eli says…Dems are playing both to not lose and also to not win. And, a lot of the times you/they/we end up losing! The party needs to be pushed and since the establishment is so weak and concerned about their image, they can be convinced to grow a spine

@bynum.house.gov @wyden.senate.gov @merkley.senate.gov You silence is complicity. The crimes ICE is committing are out in the ope and so egregious that, at this point, I can only assume you support what ICE is doing?
Why can't Democratic leadership say this?

Because they DONT WANT TO.
Mamdani: I am in support of abolishing ICE… I'm tired of waking up every day and seeing a new image of someone being dragged out of a car, dragged out of their home, dragged out of their life.

1/ On the one year anniversary of Trump's inauguration, a new vision for American power is taking shape—one organized in part around AI supremacy and control of critical minerals. My latest on the State Department’s "Pax Silica" initiative, the pursuit of Greenland, and Trump’s imperial ambitions:
‘Pax Silica’ and Pursuit of Greenland Give Shape to Trump’s Imperial AI Ambitions
Trump's efforts to secure critical minerals are part of what experts regard as more nakedly imperialist US foreign and industrial policies.

This is a total softball @wyden.senate.gov , @merkley.senate.gov , @bynum.house.gov ! I’ll always remember your vote if you continue to fund this fascist and terrotistic para-military organization

When my wife and I started planning our porch remodel enclosure & addition over 6 years ago, this was the vibe we were going for. I’m delighted to say, that after I installed the new plant/grow light hanger rack thingy this weekend that the space is officially done!

Yesterday my wife & I attended the Deschutes Co Townhall at Sisters High for @wyden.senate.gov & @bynum.house.gov. Here are my thoughts:
-the attendance was good but not as packed as I expected considering the state of our country.
-as is usual in Sisters, it’s an older crowd. I’m 45 and felt…1/

i was talking with someone in the twin cities about how it’s not even accurate to call them protesters. they’re literally just people protecting their city from TERRORISTS.
Every time the Trump regime uses the words "funded protesters" and "outside agitators" news outlets need to cut to this photo from last week.

ICE has invaded these communities. Outside agitators don't show up in their fucking bathrobes.

The Founders assumed that Members of Congress would jealously and zealously guard the powers and prerogatives of their branch of government against the grasping of an overweening Executive, and instead we got this supine GOP majority that yearns to lick the boot.
I would like to think the Mad King proclaiming “I will continue to illegally raise taxes on the American people until the NATO alliance collapses” would be the type of statement to cause Congress to act, but I’m not sure there’s any red line the GOP Congress has anymore.
Trump says he'll impose a 10% tariff (rising to 25% in June) on Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands and Finland, because they've sent people to Greenland, until the US can buy Greenland.

The fact that Gavin Newsom is even talking to the likes of Shapiro is a sign that he’s a non-starter. I’ve never forgotten how Shapiro said that Trayvon Martin deserved to die. Not fucking ever.

My unsolicited advice for Dems that'll help instead of the centrist, feckless, overpaid corporate consultant BS:

1. Promise to tax the rich

2. Don't support Israel's genocide

3. Criticize ICE & refuse to fund it

4. Don't throw "the woke" under the bus

5. Run on affordability AND accountability

The library ebook business is such a scam. Good to see dem state lawmakers are considering banding together to negotiate fairer deals.
Are you currently 480th in line for an e-book and wondering why @dcpubliclibrary.bsky.social doesn't just ... buy more copies?

The short answer: e-books are incredibly expensive. But D.C. lawmakers have a plan to curb the excessive pricing from publishers, @maustermuhle.bsky.social reports:
Libraries can't afford e-books. D.C. lawmakers have a plan.
The demand and price for e-books is up — and it’s busting the D.C. Public Library budget.

ICE keeps saying the people protesting it are being paid without any evidence, but we have receipts showing that the people *defending* ICE are absolutely being paid.

And yet we only hear lies about the former on cable news.
