Welcome fellow twitter refugees and other folks! Full disclosure; I don't automatically follow back. Sorry about that, I'm just trying to keep my timeline from becoming overwhelming.
I curate a confusing group of ham radio feeds and one for the Morongo Basin. Please see bit.ly/4bDVT5G for details.

This story could be crapto BS but there are a couple of Canadian calls that come up as belonging to a Rodolfo Novak. I assume this sort of crap is as illegal in Canada as it is in the US under FCC regulation §97.113 (a)(2). If it isn't, it should be.

Found out I'm on a moderation list titled
"Bots, Russians, MAGA, Cops, Feds, etc.
People pretending to be people that they're not"

I don't come under any of the 1st line and pretty hilarious especially this is my one bluesky account that reveals who I am IRL. Go figure.

As a kid I loved the look of this thing in the Allied catalog. I can't remember though if I realized at the time it had no BFO. I would have been really unhappy if I'd somehow bought one and discovered that after the fact. #Shortwave #HamRadio

Let's try that with a hashtag or two #hamradio #QSLcards
I don't know what the deal is but since June I've gotten a few QSL "cards" via qslworld.com for QSOs dating as far back as March 2000, that I could not have possibly made.

Dunno what to do about it, so I probably won't do much. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This looks like a fine book, but the author has a lot of nerve stealing my Chippendales stage name. #hamradio
Looking forward to having a read of this #hamradio

@redsolver.dev Hi - For your consideration; I'd like to have an option for skyfeed RegEx to search the handle of the posting account. I.e. a button for "handle" in addition to Post Text, Alt Text, Link.

Imagine how disappointed I was when I found out how much ham radio actually costs.
I remember it was so disappointing to find out what ham radio actually was.

I suppose it's kind of nice now that the fertilizer is hitting the ventilator, that people are thinking ham radio could be a useful thing. It takes a lot of resolve not to 'well actually' those posts.

I get the feeling that people saw PUMP UP THE VOLUME and assumed it was depicting ham radio. Sigh.

I have taken up ham radio AND I know what a furry is. What the hell am I supposed to do now?
It's a dead fact that if you're earnestly posting the words "what's a furry?" on the Internet; log off. It's too late. You will never catch up

Take up HaM radio and enjoy your life instead

I slapped together this 8 dollah Banggood kit yesterday. It's been sitting in a drawer for 6 years. As a frequency counter it sucks, but it does tell you approximately where a crystal is oscillating. Eh, what do you want for 8 bucks? #HamRadio

One of those things that rings so true you wouldn't dream of trying to run down source verification of it. #HamRadio #HamsDoingTheMostHamThingEver
[August 20th, 1945] Radio amateurs must keep their transmitters off the air until the FCC gives the go-ahead signal, despite some prematurely reactivating operations in a 90-day window announced by the Board of War Communications.

Been playing with a TIDRADIO TD-H3 & NICSURE firmware. Using it with my home Allstar hotspot (5watt UHF) there was a lot of crackling in the RX. It stopped when I got a block or so away. Long story short, reduced the AGC Table 0 gain from the default 24 to 19, problem solved. For now. :) #HamRadio

There are other #HamRadio accounts that I've followed in the past, but now insist on posting #AI generated "art".

This is an instant block.

Same un-follow on YouTube. If you post AI bullshit, you're dead to me. Why? Because you've decided that artists should starve. It's morally abhorrent.

Here's a well-read, reasonable and non-hysterical take on the FCC filing by AST & Science, LLC regarding 430-440 Mhz usage - and therefore will be ignored by quite a lot of hams who are going on about 70cm being "taken over". Oh well. #AmateurRadio

Was working on the local Yucca Valley repeater the other day. I'd been thru this gate many times, but this was the first time I looked at that razor wire and asked; who the hell is that supposed to keep out? Why would you bother?
