Stop with the trans people are VaLiD no matter what.

Stop with the slacktivism. This is about being able to exist in society as trans people always have. This is about #accesstocare & #hrt. This is about cooked up #sexbased discrimination situations that make it so trans people can't work.

fun fact: the first person to ever say “gender…i’ll put ‘F’?” to me was a librarian. i was just changing my name.

i don’t l know why there would be a gender field in a library computer or if there even really *was* a field. i sad yes & she said, “good—we want this to be right” & i cried in my car.
saw this in a group im in and once again librarians are the fucking S tier class of what it is to be a good human

84% of people in Aotearoa agree that trans people deserve protection from discrimination. What are the odds that of that remaining 16%, two of them would become human rights commissioners?

Since the "debate" around "trans issues" mostly centres on the supposed threat that trans women pose to cis women, it's worth pointing out that actual peer-reviewed studies have been done to find out whether this is the case (spoiler: no, it isn't).

🚨 Important new article on gender self-determination as a medical right in CMAJ! I argue that people have a right to gender-affirming care and that many common barriers aren’t justified by evidence. Trans health needs to centre human rights more! 🏳️‍⚧️

A damning joint report by Yale Law School and Yale Medicine finds the UK's Cass Review "levies unsupported assertions about gender identity, gender dysphoria, standard practices, and safety of gender-affirming medical treatments, and it repeats claims that have been disproved by sound evidence.”
Report Addresses Key Issues in Legal Battles over Gender-Affirming Health Care
A new report from The Integrity Project provides an evidence-based critique of a recent independent review that has become central to U.S. litigation regarding health care for transgender youth.

There were 16 trans youth suicides after gender affirming care restrictions were implemented in the UK in 2020 compared with only 1 in the 7 years prior. Staff at the NHS attempted to cover it up. Hilary Cass knew but minimized what was happening.

This is a massive scandal. Cass lied, kids died.
