"Fun fact!" Says Professor Kim, on day one of "Hazardous Engineering and You," a required course at Starfleet Academy.

"I'm not actually Harry Kim. I'm a spatial scission duplicate - so is Lieutenant Wilder, on the Huron. The real Harry Kim died on Stardate 49548.7."

"Either that," he says...

Infuriating to watch black and trans people warn folks about Newsom--JUST LIKE THEY WARNED FOLKS ABOUT TRUMP--and see everyone respond with "But he's a Democrat."

I'm convinced Charles Darwin had MCAS and if he didn't, a chronic bowel inflammation, atypical. But, like speculating who was trans or asexual in days gone by, that is bs handwavery and we'll never really know.

"Why can't we have a calm discussion about AI?"

Because folks don't actually want to discuss AI, they want blind submission to the ideological structures that motivate the contemporary use cases and deployments of AI. They don't want to hear the concerns except to dismiss them out of hand.

It is my earnest wish that Chlamyphorus truncatus and phoretic pseudoscorpions make more of an appearance in my feed.
Um hello please follow me if you are a professor of rare moths.

And then please send photos of rare moths. That sounds so awesome.
Someone told me lately "Bluesky is just like Twitter." I argued that was untrue on the basis that last time I had a Twitter account most times I got a new follower their bio said "single & looking for fun" & here when I get a new follower it tends to say something like "professor of rare moths".

I am not tolerant. The issue is that I need about a week to figure out how I feel about your shitty behaviour and how to respond, but in the meantime you think you've gotten away with it and are thus able to call me unhinged when I do finally respond. Just another way neuroatypicals get the shaft.

The most minor of points here but another example of AI fucking up Google...I wanted to know the last time a stallion won Olympic dressage gold (I HAVE MY REASONS). Google AI: "Totilas was the last stallion to win Olympic gold". But Totilas didn't win Olympic gold. He never went to the Olympics.
