Judge Dismisses Georgia Election Interference Case Against Trump

The extremely poor judgment exercised by Fulton County DA Fani Willis in hiring a man she was dating as a Special Prosecutor to lead the case against Trump doomed the case.

A sad irony in Washington, D.C., where West Virginia National Guardsmen were shot today. Six days ago, a court ruled their deployment was illegal, but stayed the order pending appeal. My heart goes out to these public servants and their families. oag.dc.gov/sites/defaul...

So Olivia Nuzzi is clearly a piece of shit who can never work in journalism again after this.

And, also, Ryan Lizza is clearly a piece of shit who should never work in journalism again after this either.

We're all agree on that, right?

It should be illegal to tear down housing for a side lot. Not to mention such an incredible architectural piece like this.
In September someone who lives across the street told me about the potential demolition. It will be a side yard for the brand-new home next door. The irony is that 2219 was owned by Ray Capitanini (who died in April), a longtime supporter of Preservation Chicago. His parents started Italian Village.

Reporting from Boston papers makes it seem very plausible that Trump's Press Secretary had his paramilitary detain the mother of her nephew, because she was no longer romantically involved with her brother and he wanted her out of the picture.
“After Ferreira was detained, Dos Santos Rodrigues said Michael Leavitt Sr. and his father, Bob Leavitt, reached out to her.”

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...
‘Brazil is not her home.’ Mother of Karoline Leavitt’s nephew, brought to US as child, detained by ICE. - The Boston Globe
Bruna Ferreira, 33, was brought to the United States as a child in 1998. She is now in removal proceedings in Louisiana.

Schism! Schism! Schism!
In newly leaked audio, Peter Thiel admits he urged JD Vance to ignore Pope Leo XIV on moral questions — including the ethical development of AI.

He goes even further, branding Leo “the woke American pope” and suggesting he’s a tool of the Antichrist.

In a leaked lecture, Peter Thiel says he’s urged Vance to ignore the pope on moral questions — and simply pray for him.

Apple pie is bad. This is not really debatable. So is key lime pie, while we’re on the topic. Pecan pie is the 🐐 tho.

I’m curious what the Top Ten will look like, but this has felt like a pretty weak year for books. I’ve got some favorites and a few I want to get to, but nothing that’s felt incredible and a lot that’s felt quite inessential.

After a delayed start, younger home buyers are gaining ground. Millennials are converting rising earnings and family formation into purchases in their 30s, reaching parity with Gen X by their early forties and poised to modestly surpass them.

This is identical to Russia invading Ukraine. Illegally invading a country for their resources and likely killing thousands—if not more—is immoral and should not be supported by anyone with any shred of moral conscience.

We really do have two different kinds of law now: District Court law (aka the law), and Supreme Court "law" (aka the U.S. House of Lords upholding Trump's personalist regime)
I don’t know what the Supreme Court will do, but I am confident that at the District Court level it is still the case that the Pentagon cannot recall a sitting US Senator to active duty in order to court martial him for something he said. Article 1, Section 6, among other constitutional provisions.

I'll admit to being baffled by this, since JJ was an excellent QB at Michigan and I thought his game would translate into "good starter with upside" and the Vikings seemed like a great landing spot. Truly inexplicable to me.
Today’s NFL newsletter is about how it’s increasingly clear that JJ McCarthy is not only the worst QB in the NFL right now, but putting up some of the worst stats of any QB to play in the NFL in recent years, despite entering a near-ideal situation for a young QB sports.beehiiv.com/p/jj-mccarth...
JJ McCarthy is the worst
The Vikings need to move on from their 2024 10th overall pick ASAP. PLUS, Jameis Winston makes one of the greatest QB catches ever, the Raiders pin their problems on Chip Kelly, and more!

I think it is very unlikely that most of these are Russian influence agents, and considerably more likely that they are people from developing economies who have cottoned on to ways to make relatively large amounts of money for them by being paid-per-view by X.
This week we learned that many of the most active Twitter accounts are foreigners, most likely Russian influence agents, operating in the guise of Red State Americans.

Just remembering how one of the most important and widely read and dropped-with-maximally-damaging-timing "Biden is old and senile" pieces was reported by Nuzzi. It makes you think!
well, I read it, and the salient, non-gross part is Lizza alleging, midsentence and without elaboration, that Nuzzi ran numerous “catch-and-kill operations” on RFK’s behalf, which would give her a role in both his appointment and the untold preventable deaths he has abetted in office. Cool.
